Ceneselli and photovoltaic shelters among the largest in the world

The town of Ceneselli (province of Rovigo) regenerates a disused military site, enriching it with value for the community and converting its use to a parking lot with photovoltaic and clean energy canopies.

Rehabilitation of brownfield sites to benefit energy transition

A sustainable project is evident not only from the sources from which it is to be drawn, but also from the optimization of available resources. In this case, the town of Ceneselli, in the province of Rovigo, has reclaimed an abandoned lot of military origin to convert it to productive use powered by renewable sources.

The photovoltaic project was designed to maximize the functions and efficiency of the new use, with panels installed above the parking canopies, providing shading and protection, without additional land consumption.

The plant, which is among the largest in the world for its category, powers the entire production plant, with a maximum capacity of 12.6 MW.

The role of PV Eurosolution

The Client of the macro project approached PV Eurosolution to carry out the energy project so that the entire site would be energy independent and sustainable.

Specifically, PV performed the mechanical installation work for the plant, including the foundations by drilling 17,500 holes to anchor the poles, mounting the structures, and assembling the PV modules.
