Jasper project: one of Africa's largest solar power plants

Amid the endless expanses of land that characterize the African territory, a project arises that not only aims to improve the conditions of the population, but directly involves local resources for awareness and training.

Sustainability of the project and its impact for the communities in the area

The Jasper Solar Project, located in Postmasburg in the Northern Cape region of South Africa, represents one of the largest solar power plants in Africa. This ground-mounted solar power plant, built in 2014, boasts a capacity of 96 MWp and makes a strong contribution to clean energy generation in the country.

Since it began full commercial operations in October 2014, the plant has played a key role in meeting the electrical needs of some 80,000 homes, while significantly reducing carbon dioxide emissions by as much as 145,891 tons per year. With its impressive annual generation of 180 GWh of clean, renewable energy, the Jasper project has had a significant impact on the region's energy supply.

PV Eurosolution's contribution

PV Eurosolution played a crucial role in the implementation of the plant. The team, composed of experts with expertise in various areas, was responsible for installing the support structures, assembling the modules, and training more than 300 people to enhance the local workforce.

The project represents PV Eurosolution's commitment to renewable energy, helping to create a better future through clean and sustainable energy production.
